Examinations
Quizzes. Quizzes will be assigned throughout the semester. These quizzes will be:
- Closed book
- Closed notes
- In the Testing Center
- Multiple choice, but feel free to write comments; the TA reads every quiz before grading.
Quiz dates are available on the calendar.
Late quizzes can be taken directly from the TA, with a 10% penalty per day. Note: If there are extenuating circumstances that we should know about come see the
TA or Dr. Burton, if possible before the quiz is given.
Quizzes are meant to be challenging and few students get perfect scores.
Class attendance and participation will help, as will keeping up with the reading in the book.
If you're not happy with your quiz performance, you can compensate by earning extra credit on the projects.
If you feel there was an error on the quiz, please come speak to the TA about it.
Previous quizzes are available on this website. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, nor are they referred to in designing future quizzes, but can be useful study aids.
Final Examination will be:
- Composed completely of questions from the quizzes (possibly edited for clarity)
- Timed
- Multiple choice
- Closed book
- Closed notes
- Administered in the Testing Center during normal final days.
Cheating
Don't cheat. You will regret it.
